“I’d like to keep the Sabbath, but I can’t – I have to work on Saturdays.”
Wrong. You may think so, but you are mistaken. No one who believes in keeping the Sabbath has to work on Saturdays (or whatever day is the Sabbath), at least not in America. No one is pointing a gun at the heads of American Christians and Jews and forcing them to work on Saturdays. Americans who work on any Sabbath do so by their own choice, not because they have to. #3. Discussing Shabbat with future employers.

Below are some tips for discussing your Shabbat needs:
Think strategically about how, and when, to bring up Shabbat with a potential employer. Do not mention Shabbat accommodations prior to receiving the job offer. Once it has been determined that you are the best candidate for the job, the company will be more open to making special accommodations for you. "Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: But the seventh day is the Sabbath." Exodus 20:10
For people wanting to obey the Bible commandments, the question is: "Which is day one?" All can count to seven, but where does the count begin? How can you know which is the true seventh day? The Creator Who made the week also designed a month in which to place that week.
The calendar of Creation begins with New Moon Day followed by four complete weeks. Each week contains six workdays and a seventh-day Sabbath rest.
In the beginning, the Creator designed the movement of the sun and the moon to measure time.

It seems to me that the best way to keep Shabbat is to be self-employed and close your business on Shabbat (whichever day it falls on.) Note: Israel is using the Gregorian calendar and is observing Shabbat on "Saturdays" only. Why!?
